Spring Makeup

Hello lovelies!

As spring is here, and the weather has actually been sunny here in the UK, I've changed my makeup up a little. I've been opting for a fresh and pink look or a a more bronzed kind of look over the last few weeks.I took inspiration from Eleanor Calder and Ebony Day as their makeup is always pretty, natural and glowing. I thought I'd do a post about a few of the products that I'm using and maybe give you guys a little inspiration.

As I've recently ditched foundation to clear my skin up a little, I've been using my Collection Lasting Perfection concealer on any blemishes, redness or my undereye circles. Even though I still have the odd breakout, my skin has been much clearer and isn't as dry as it used to be. I switched my Nivea moisturiser for the Clean and Clear Morning Energy. It brightens the skin as it has a slight shimmer and it gives you a really nice glowing kind of effect, and I've been reaching for it a lot when I'm getting ready for school.

As far as cheeks go I've completely changed the products I'm using. I recently bought the Sleek Face Form kit and I've reached for it since. I use the contour shade to give my face a little defenition and I absolutely love the blush in the palette. It's a really pretty pink with gold reflects and it makes you look much more awake and fresh. I didn't really use highlighter much in the past but I really like how it gives a really pretty glow to my cheek bones and lifts my face.

If I'm not using my Sleek palette, I'm reaching for my Collection Mosaic Bronzer. It has three different shades, a pink, a brown and a coper shade and I just swirl my brush in it and apply to my cheeks. Like the Sleek blush it makes you look more awake and sun kissed.

As for eyes, I've been using my MUA Undress Me Too palette, specifically the shade 'Shy'. It's a champagne colour and looks really pretty all over the lid and in the tear duct area, it brightens the eyes and makes you look more awake and fresh. I've also been using the purple-y mauve colour from my Natural Collection duo in 'Mink/Sable', I use it in the crease to give a little more definition and it's softer than a brown.

I've only been applying a small amount of eyeliner lately, as it makes my lashes look fuller and it doesn't smudge as easily as a thicker line does. I've been up using the Collection Extreme 24 Felt Tip Liner and the Revlon Lash Potion mascara which gives me long and voluminous lashes.

For lips I've either been using the Rimmel lipstick in '006 Pink Blush' on it's own as it's a simple pink colour and compliments the Sleek blush nicely, or I've been using another Rimmel lipstick in '250 Birthday Suit', which is a bronze nude colour and applied Natural Collection's lipstick in 'Rose Petal' over the top, which is a peachy colour. I've been wearing this combination a lot recently as it's simple and compliments my skin tone nicely.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post and again I'm hoping to be blogging a lot more now.

Confidence.

Hello lovelies!

I wasn't here to wish you all a Happy Easter! I don't really celebrate it with my parents but I got a few eggs and stuff, but I hope you had a great day with family and I hope you all got lots of chocolate!

I haven't done a blog post since like January, I'm sorry ok!? I've just been super busy with school and it's just been really hectic.

But I wanted to sit down and write about a topic that, a lot of us struggle with, myself inculded. I was always shy and I kept to myself when I was younger, but I've recently come out of my shell. My friends played a big part in that, and I thank them for accepting me for who I am allowing me to be who I am and accept myself as a person. So clichè.

In order to be comfortable with yourself, I think you should surround yourself with people that make you feel worthy. It can be friends, relatives, heck it can even be a celebrity. I know music also played a big part in me accepting who I was.

Of course, no one lives a perfect life, and we all have to overcome obstacles, and even if it seems hard at the time you will get through it. When I was in a bad place myself, there were so many times I wanted to give up, but I remained strong and I'm a lot happier than I was. I feel that those dark moments of our lives, wether you're young or older, they also mould us into the people we are.

Don't ever let anyone make you feel inferior without your consent. If someone can't accept you for who you are, what your interests are, how you dress etc then they don't deserve your time or energy, erase them from your life. You are beautiful, smart, funny, and so much more, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Recognise your talents and focus on that. When you know you're good at something, maybe no one els you know is, you'll feel much more confident with yourself. Think of things that stand in the way of your confidence and write them down i.e bad grades, not many friends, etc? Now ask yourself this: is this valid or logical? Or are these just assumptions on my part?

How in the world does one thing determine your self worth? It doesn't!

See confidence as a process, not a singular achievement. Having confidence isn't a finish line you cross once, and the process won't always move forward, there will be days when you feel like you're starting from square one. Take a deep breath, remember the self-confidence hurdles you've already cleared, and resolve to keep going.

You were born with it. When you were born, you didn't care about how loud you cried or how clear your skin was. It was society that pointed a finger at you and made you feel as if you had to measure up.

Over the years the tabloids have created an imagine that we all wish to look and be like. But I think that that imagine has grown very unrealistic. Which brings me to my next point: Body Confidence.

Don't let magazine spreads, or negative people or even yourself give you an impression that you are worthless. You are beautiful inside and out, and the sooner you realize that, the better. You can't expect people to love you if you don't love yourself. Others can help you love yourself yes, but relying on someone els to give you the confidence you desire will potentially break them, I've been there.

Everyone says that no one's perfect, I however, disagree. I think we are all a perfect imagine of oursleves. We've grown into amazing and beautiful people. Your height, your weight, what you wear, or your scars shouldn't define who you are, but reflect it. Curves are just as good as being slim. Blonde is hair is just as good as brunette. Acne is just as good as clear skin. Those scars reflect how strong you are. We're all equal, all human.

The way you treat people and look at life is what defines you. Be postistive and be happy, that's the key to being confident. Someone will love you for you no matter what, they will love every inch of you, and they won't care how you look in your underwear or if you think you're too thin, you will be prefect for them.

If you don't like something change it, if you can't change something learn to love it.

Stay Strong. Be real, be who you wanna be and don't stop. Whatever you're going through, keep going. Be you.

I hope I can post more often but it'll be hard to balance my schoolwork since I have exams in like two weeks, yikes! But anyway I love you all and there will be a lot more posts in the summer, woo! Also, I'm contemplating starting a youtube channel, so if you would like that let me know.

Things I'm loving right now!

Hello again!
I thought I'd do another beauty post because I've been experimenting a little and I've changed things up a, so here are the things I'm loving right now! Enjoy :)

Revlon Lash Postion mascara

I've wanted to try this mascara for a while, I've seen a few people rave about it on Instagram and I saw it on offer in Superdrug for £5 so I picked it up. It gives both volume and length, it isn't waterproof but it doesn't smudge! My eyelashes look incredible! I will definetly be repurchasing this!

Collection Super Size Mascara

I really like this mascara, it gives me a good length, no volume but this mascara under the Revlon one I just mentioned, are a perfect match. And for just under £3, it's a bargain!

Ciate Nail Polish in 'Hoopla'

My best friend bought me this for Christmas along with the caviar pearls. This is the best nail polish I've tried so far! It hasn't chipped for a good week! The colour is beautiful. I just love it so much! Thank you Chummy!

Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation

I love this foundation so much! Even though I have dry skin , it doesn't dry out my skin at all! It has high coverege, which I need at the moment. It's matte, duh Rhiannon, and it lasts all day! Love love love!

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in '006 Pink Blush'

I love the colour, formulation and it lasts a good amount of time! I really love this lipstick basically!

Balmi Lip Balm 'Mint'

It's such a cute little thing. It's really moisturizing and smells so good! Worth the hype I think!

Rimmel Lasting Finish 1000 Kisses Lip Tint/Balm

So one ends a felt tip, that you apply the stain with, and the other is a balm that you apply once the stain has dried. I don't use the balm as it gives the balm a glossy finish which I don't like, but I use carmex before I apply the stain. It lasts a good few hours, and doesn't smudge or come off when I eat or drink. I got it for a pound, so I guess it's good for the price I paid.

Red Lips

I was feeling a little adventurous over the Christmas holidays, so I was rocking a red lip almost everyday. I just really liked it, I thought it was a change to my normal pink lip. It also made my teeth appear a lot whiter. I think I'll be buying brighter lip colours in future!

One Direction Midnight Memories, Little Mix Salute and Olly Murs Right Place Right Time Special Edition

Random I know, but I love these albums so much! There are some really upbeat songs on Olly Murs and One Directions' album, and some emotional songs that a lot of teenagers can relate to on Little Mix's album. I've only recently gotten into One Direction, but I was very impressed by all three artists.

Winged eyeliner
I don't have a good photo for you, but I've been enjoying winged liner. I didn't really wear eyeliner before, but I really like it now! It makes my blue eyes pop and makes them appear so much bigger and defined. I haven't found an eyeliner I love yet, but I'm sure I'll find one soon to recommend to you guys!

I hope you enjoyed this post, and got inspired to try out a few new things! Let me know what you're loving right now! I love you all :)

'Keep Calm and Carry On'

So today I was in a really bad mood and then I was getting s**t on a Facebook status I posted (long story). Anyway, I felt really low, not my lowest, but still I just sat in my room crying. (I don't want any sympathy, I just wanted to explain why I'm writing this post).

So I'm going to give some tips on staying happy and calming yourself down after a stressful or bad day. I hope I help at least one person out there because that will make me very very happy! :)

    There's always tomorrow.
Even if today is really crappy and you feel like you can't go on, which I have felt many times, there's always tomorrow, there's always a fresh start, a chance to start over and wipe the slate clean!

    You are not alone!
I'm sure whatever you are going through is making you feel lonely, but there are other individuals in this world going through the exact same thing! You are never alone, you will always have family and friends to talk to and if you're not comfortable with talking to them write everything you feel down on paper! Or do what I do and just cry! There's nothing wrong with crying, it's human and perfectly normal, it's just your way of calming yourself. It's best to let everything out one way or another rather than keeping it all bottled up inside of you.

Concentrate on the POSITIVE things rather than the negatives!
Ok, you might have had the worst few years of your life, but I'm very sure that you have many times where you felt happy within yourself and were just enjoying life. In example, when I feel down, I go through my Facebook and Instagram pictures, because they remind me of all the memories I've made in a small space of time and I feel much better and know that life isn't as bad as I made out.

(Yes these strange people are my friends and I)

   Do something you enjoy.
I personally enjoy drawing/painting and creating different makeup looks. But you can do anything you want. Just do something you enjoy, it will really calm you down and make you feel much better!

Listen to happy and upbeat songs.
Trust me listening to depressing songs will not make you feel any better. Although they might relate to your situation they are not going to motivate you to carry on.
Olly Murs makes loads of great 'feel good' tunes. Just saying. ;)

   Have a bath.
Or a shower if you're a shower person, but the steam from the hot water and the scent of your bubble bath or bath bomb will calm you down. Apparently lavender is a really good calming scent but I don't really like it, just go with whatever floats your boat. I definetly recommend Lush bath bombs and bubble bar's, they have a good selection of scents and they make your skin really soft. And it's really fun watching the bath bombs fizz away. (Let me know if you want a lush favourites post)

    Watch some films.
I'm having my best friend over tomorrow to watch some DVDs I got for Christmas. It can be a rom-com, comedy, scary, whatever you prefer.

Post inspirational quotes around your room.
I have a cork board in my room that I post a few quotes on and when I'm having a bad day reading those quotes make me feel a lot better. All you need is to google some and them write them down on a piece of card or paper and voila. And make sure you put up a few pictures of you and friends or family too!

So that's all I've got right now, but if I come up with some other ideas I might do another post on this subject, or if you have any other things similar to this you'd like me to write about please contact me. I really hope I helped at least one person, and made you feel much better about yourself, the situation you're in and about your life. Life is unpredictable and we must get on with it all. But even if you are in a big dark hole, everything will get better and you won't be sad anymore. There will be some one to take all the sadness and pain away.

But please remember to smile and be nice to people, because you don't know what is going on their life. Even the smallest thing like a smile can brighten someone's day.

I'm going to stop rambling now!
 Stay Strong <3

P.s I'm starting a Youtube channel if my own based on beauty some time this month! So look out for that!

Small Haul

Hello everyone!
So today I went shopping with my best friend. We went to Boots and H&M and ended up spending abit of money...

I firstly picked up a few items from Collection, I purchased 'Jade's lipstick' from the Little Mix Collection (£2.99), it's a really pretty nude-y pink shade which I thought would be really nice for the day time.

I then picked up the 'Mosaic Glow' bronzing powder, I've really been into bronzer recently as it gives my pale face a little colour so I picked another up to try out (£2.99)

As Collection were doing a free Super Size mascara if you spend £5 or more I ended up with another mascara.

As I needed a new foundation my friend recommended the Rimmel 'Stay Matte' liquid mousse foundation, so I thought I'd give it a try. (£5.99)

I also reached for the Rimmel 'Scandaleyes' waterproof tick and thin eye liner in black, because I've been into eyeliner with a small amount of eyeshadow, so I wanted a decent eye liner. (£5.49)

I've been dying to get a 'Balmi' lip balm for a while and it was reduced from £4.99 to £2.00 so I thought why not. I bought the mint flavour, I just can't deal with how cute this is.

Lastly I bought the 'ecotools fresh and flawless five piece complexion set' for £11.99 because I've wanted to try ecotools brushes for ages.

I then went into H&M and bought a pack of two small bracelets. One has little birds on it and the other has 'oxox' on it for £3. I just thought they were really cute.

I also found a really cute silver origami style bird necklace for £2.

So that was all I bought. Hope to start blogging a lot more. Bye guys! :)
